for more information.

After a single classroom session and five Instructor led dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you understand the underwater environment more fully. This course will certify you to dive to a maximum depth of 120-ft (36-m).

Who can start an Advanced Open Water class?
If you have completed an Open Water Diver certification, you are able to enroll in the Advanced Open Water class.

What will I do?
This certification features five Advanced Dives, including Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive and three of the following:

  • Altitude Diver
  • AWARE Fish Identification
  • Boat Diver
  • Deep Diver
  • Diver Propulsion Vehicle
  • Drift Diver
  • Dry Suit Diver
  • Enriched Air Diver
  • Multilevel & Computer Diver
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy
  • Search and Recovery
  • Underwater Naturalist
  • Underwater Navigator
  • Underwater Photographer
  • Underwater Videographer
  • Wreck Diver

How long will the class take?
One classroom session followed by five dives over a minimum of two days completes this class. This is often achieved in a single weekend.

What is included in the cost?
Students receive an Advanced Open Water Diver textbook and an Instructor will guide you through the classroom session. All five dives are Instructor accompanied as you complete the skills that will make you a safer and more competent diver. An Advanced Open Water Diver certification card will also be issued.

What will I need?
Advanced students will need to provide all their equipment. It can be rented at a preferential rate for the dives. Students will be required under PADI Standards to carry a compass and dive knife or scissors for every dive, and a dive light and Glo-Stick for the night dive. This can be purchased with a student discount applied, or rented at a reduced rate for the duration of the course.

Please call us on
305-532-1445 or
1-888-DIVE-MIAMI
for more information.

How much will it cost?
Advanced Open Water certification is $315. Reservations are required. Classes are paid in full when enrolling.
